Troutman Slaves

Slaves owned by John Michael Troutman (October 28, 1739 Germany – April 4, 1814 Bullitt Co., Kentucky) who owned several plantations in Kentucky, had two wives (he remarried), 18

children, and over ten slaves. 

 

 

Abigail: In the estate sale of 1822, Kitty Troutman paid $412.00 for Abigail,Negro girl. Will Book for Bullitt County, KY.  January 18, 1822.  Book A.  Bullitt County, KY.  402.

 

    Ben:  In the 1814 will, Ben, a Negro man, goes to Elizabeth Troutman, the wife.  Wills and Inventories for Bullitt Co., KY.  Book A (1799-1824).  Bullitt Co., KY.  19. 

In the estate sale of 1822, Leonard Troutman paid $751.00 for Ben, a Negro man.  Will Book for Bullitt County, KY.  January 18, 1822.  Book A.  Bullitt County, KY.  402.
