Welcom Ashley was on the 1830 census in Butler county, b 1801, was
first married to a Francis Greary and then to Bashaba Decker. These people
all ended up in Shrewsbury, Grayson county. Would love to know who his
parents were. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ohio Co., KY; m. Indiana _________ . Indiana was born 1849/50 in KY. In
1870 they were living in Daviess Co., KY. They had two children: 1. Silvinus
REEKS, b. 1868/9 in KY. 2. Ruth REEKS, b. 6 March 1870 at Frankfort, Franklin
Co., KY; m. 1890/1 Benjamin Franklin TURNER; d. 13 Jan. 1918/9 at Goose
Creek, Chambers Co., TX. If anyone has additional information, please share

HAMPTON
Hi Sarah Hampton Starke I have been searching for a Hampton also, but
do not know if they are related. Bethsadie granbury Stephens married Andrew
Hampton in Butler Co. Ky. 18 Oct.1828. They then went to Madison Co. Mo.
to claim the farm Bethsadie had inherited from her parents. I lost them
in Cape Girardeau, Mo. 1840. Would this be the same family?

RAY
I think I need your help. My gr great grandmother CARILDA RAY was born
in Butler Co. in 1835. She died in 1925. I was told she was a slave, and
her children were by her owner. Her son JAMES THOMAS RAY was born Aug.
4,1878 died 1951. His sister HALLIE RAY was my grandmother. I cannot locate
these people before 1900. I also checked the slave schedules for the name
RAY in Butler Co. But had no luck. I purchased a book titled ROCHESTER
written by HOWARD WILLIS VAUGHN. CARILDAS grandson SLAUGHTER RAY helped
with this book. I would appreciate any help or suggestions you can give

Jenkins Helms & Laura Jane Lafferty

RONE, EVANS, STATON
George Washington RONE married Mary F. EVANS in Butler Co., KY on 24
Dec 1899, at the residence of P.W. EVANS. Bond was posted by G.W. RONE
as principal, and Jno. C. STATON, as surety. Mary and George show up in
the 1900 census in Morgantown, Butler Co.. She is listed as being 15, he
as 33. He is also listed as being born in KY which is wrong. This is my
grandfather and his first wife; however, Grandpa was born in TX. Mary and
an infant died of whooping cough and G.W. Rone remarried in Muhlenberg
Co, July 1902 to Katie Mount d/o of Thomas and Tennie (Warren) Mount.
Mother says that when her father lay dying in a hospital in Williamson
Co., IL in 1937, a Mr. Staton came to visit him. She was only a kid and
did not know of any connection.
I would like to correspond with anyone who connects to these lines.
I have lots of info but lots of holes.

Hello. I've noticed that you have access to some records in Butler
County and I was wondering if you could help me. My great-grandfather William
Carlisle Walton was born on a farm near Green River in Butler County on
7-4-1855. His father's name was also William Carlisle Walton and his mother
was an unknown "Brown".

CAMPFIELD, JENKINS
Josephine Campfield mar. James Jenkins 1-30-1850, Butler Co., Ky. James
& Josephine had one daughter, Alwilda. James married Wlizabeth Jenkins
8-21-1855. They then moved to Gibson Co., In. Alwilda came with them. Alwilda
married Peter E. Owen, Confederate Veteran, in Indiana. Question: Does
anyone have any information on what happened to Josephine??? Did she die
in childbirth or were they divorced???

YOUNG, LIKINS, SNODGRASS
Evelyn Minerva Young married Nathan Likins and they lived in Ohio County
near Neafus in 1850. Evalyn Minerva dies about 1857. Their home was at
the corner where Butler, Ohio, and Grayson touch. Evelyn and Nathan are
buried on that farm. Family ledgend has that her father was John Bufford
Young and her mother was Minerva Snodgrass. There are many Snodgrass families
in Butler County in 1800's. Cemetery records of Butler County show that
the Snodgrass families lived in Butler near the Ohio, Grayson borders,
I have never been able to document the name of Minerva Snodgrass but J.
Young signed the marriage records for Nathan and Evelyn. Any help would
be appreciated. I have a data base of a few thousand names from that section
of KY.
