Obituary of Charles Logan GRIFFITH

From the Kentucky Post,
Saturday, January 25, 1936:

FORMER PRESIDENT OF BANK IS CALLED

Long Illness, Believed Aggravated by Fall, Fatal to Charles L. Griffith

Charles L. Griffith, first president of the old Equitable Bank in Walton, died late
yesterday at the home of his son, (John) Elmer Griffith, Wallace Avenue, Walton.
He was 78.

Although he had been in ill health for some time, his death is believed to have been
hastened by a fall last week in the yard of his home.

The old Equitable Bank was consolidated in 1928 with the Walton Bank & Trust Co.
to form the Walton Equitable Bank.

Besides his son, Mr. Griffith leaves a daughter, Mrs. O. E. Peterson, Elsa, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of Chambers & Grubbs, Walton.
