Child Dies at Home of Parents

Wilbert Eugene Monroe, seven-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Monroe, died last Friday night at 8:30 o’clock at the family home near Little Mount, Spencer County, following an illness of some time.

Besides his parents he is survived by eight brothers, Charles H. Albert Z., Willie, Herbert, Everett, Hubert, Hobart and Paul; and four sisters, Mrs. Rural Sageser, Mrs. Phronia Webb, Mrs. Dorothy Newton, and Miss Lora J. Monroe.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the residence by the Rev. Charles Badgett, pastor of the Little Mount Baptist Church. His body was brought here for burial in the Grove Hill Cemetery.

The pallbearers were: Albert, Charles, Willie, and Everett Monroe.   The honorary pall bears: Hubert, Herbert, Paul and Hobart Monroe.
