WINNIE SHEETS


MRS. T. F. SHEETS
PASSES TUESDAY
Mrs. Winnie Cathren Sheets, 71, wife of Thomas Frankin Sheets, died at the Sheets
home in West Liberty about noon. She had been ill for several months.
Mrs. Sheets was born in Grayson county, Virginia, a daughter of Kern and
Ada Wilde Reedy. She was a member of the First Church of God of West Liberty.

Funeral was conducted at the First Church of God Thursday morning with
the Pastor, Rev. Billie T. Ball, and Rev. James Norsworthy officiating.
Interment was in the Coffey Cemetery on Lower Grassy near the Tabernacle
under direction of Herald & Stewart Funeral Home. The body lay in state
at the funeral home until the time of the service.

Surviving besides the husband are four daughters: Mrs. Everette Martin
and Mrs. Belle Tolson of West Liberty; Mrs. Sidney Berwick of San
Leandro, Calif.; and Mrs. Alvin Evans of Lexington; six sons: Norman,
Buster, Fred and Ford Sheets of West Liberty; Basil of Fort Pierce,
Fla.; and Millard of Indiantown, Fla.; one sister: Mrs. Gladys Barber of
Marion, VA. and two brothers: Harlow Reedy of Marion, Va. and John Reedy
of Baltimore, Md.

She married Thomas Franklin Sheets, son of David A. Sheets and Sarah E.
Greear & grandson of Hiram and Zarilda (Higginbotham) Greear on 5 January 1907 in Grayson Co., VA.
