Age 73 of Troy, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 8,2002 at his residence. Born April 14, 1928 in Morgan Co., KY, to Willie M. and Jenny Lewis.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vandalia, OH., and the Masonic Lodge of Dayton. He was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Lewis retired from TWA in 1990 after 25 years of service.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Hupp Lewis (1996) and his parents. Survived by his wife, Virginia (Hickman) Lewis; 4 children - daughters and son-in-law: Gloria and Maurice Bashore, Jr.
and Sharon Lewis,all of Troy; sons and daughter-in-law, Victor L. Lewis, Chris and June Lewis, all of Troy; sisters: Peggy Meyers of Huber Heights, Lillian Burton of Bullsgap,TN; 5 grandchildren:
Lesley Lawrence, Amy Bashore, Angela Jones, April Lewis and Micah Bertholomy; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service Monday, March 11, 2002 at 1:00 P.M .at Baird Funeral Home,Troy, OH. Pastor Charles Betts & Rev. Wayne Monroe officiating .
Burial Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH. VFW Memorial Honor Guard Service at graveside. Friends may call at the funeral home 1-5 P.M., Sunday.
Masonic Lodge service at the funeral home on Sunday, 5:00 P.M.
