OBITUARY OF:


DAVID EDWARD HARPER



David Edward Harper, 105, of Ezel, died Thursday Jun 1 2000 in Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital at West Liberty. Mr. Harper was born March 10, 1895, at Salt Lick, a son of the late Sam and Sis Lykins Harper. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Myrtle Harper, in 1994; two sons, Bert Harper and Lonza Harper; and a daughter, Bonnie Gustin. He was a retired farmer, and a member of Pekin Pentecostal Church at Ezel. Surviving are two sons, Oscar Harper of Kenova, W.Va., and Russell Harper of Aberdeen, Ohio; six daughters, Dora Blankenship, Pearl Shearer, and Wanda Bailey, all of West Liberty, Cora Perkins of Homer, Mich., and Lou Shepard and Clotine Cornett, both of Ezel; 66 grandchildren; 126 great-grandchildren; 82 great-great-grandchildren; 59 great-great-great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Herald-Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home at West Liberty by the Rev. Sammy Vancleave, the Rev. Eugene Haney, and Howard Lee Whitt. Burial will be in Harper & Oney Cemetery at Harper.
