OBITUARY OF:


REV. F.M. MANNING

Minister at the Meade Station Church of God, Carpenter and Paper hanger
Services for Rev. F.M. Manning, 66, who succumbed suddenly yesterday morning at his home, 612 Bradley Street, will be conducted at the Church of God at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. W.W. King, assisted by Rev. Grant Dennis, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Active pallbearers will be Winfield Green, James Wade, O.C. Gartin, Harlan Roberson, Willard Minnehan and T.C. Graham. Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Lewis, A.J. Sorrell, F.M. Keifer, Clarence Dennis, A.R. Burke and Otis Nolte. Widely known and highly respected, Rev. Manning at the time of his death was Pastor of the Meade Station Church of God and had lived in Ashland for the last twenty years coming here from Morgan County. He also held pastorates in Huntington, W. VA. and Russell, KY. His untimely and unexpected death comes as a distinct shock to his host of friends and admirers. The body is at the residence and will lie in state at the church for one hour preceding the services.
