Elmer Legg, 58, of Houston, Ohio, formerly of Morgan County, died Thursday Jun.29 2000 in Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio. Mr. Legg was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Morgan County, a son of the late Herman and Nellie Cantrell Legg. His wife, Avanell Cantrell Legg, died in 1965. He was a meat cutter with Decker Packing Co. in Piqua, Ohio, an Army veteran and a member of Eagles 614 of Piqua. Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Skeens of Houston; a sister, Joyce Pennington of West Liberty; a brother, Clark Legg of West Liberty; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Herald-Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty by the Rev. Ivan Hinton and the Rev. William E. Wright. Burial will be in Cantrell Cemetery in West Liberty with military rites by Morgan County DAV.
