Bertie Lou Wells, 88, of West Liberty, died Wednesday May 31 2000 in Mariner Health Care of Tuskawilla at Winter Springs, Fla. Mrs. Wells was born Dec. 25, 1911, at Stacy Fork, a daughter of the late W. Henry and Cushie Ratliff Morris. Her husband, Edgar Wells, also preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Eddie Wells of Dayton, Ohio; four daughters, Reva Ann Parrott of Winter Park, Joyce Wells and Nadine Click, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Laura Jean Lewis of West Liberty; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Potter Funeral Home at West Liberty by the Rev. Carl Mullins and the Rev. Mike Lindon. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery at West Liberty.
