ELAM, APRIL RAIN

April Rain Elam, infant daughter of Chris and Brenda Lykins Elam , of Cannel City, was stillborn on Friday, April 21, 2006 at Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester. Additional survivors include two brothers, Christopher Austin Elam and Dakota Lee Elam, both at home; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Margie Elam of Cannel City ; maternal grandparents, Viola Marie Brown Lykins of Cannel City and the late Marvin Eugene Lykins ; several aunts and uncles. Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Lykins and McCarty Cemetery at Cannel City with Potter Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements.

ELLIOTT, NANNIE M.

Nannie M. Elliott, 78, of Big Mandy Road, Elkfork, died Monday, April 17, 2006 at West Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 2, 1928 in Morgan County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Elmer caskey and Ellen Conley Caskey. Nannie was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winford Elliott ; a daughter, Lana Dean Elliott; an infant son ; three sisters, Beulah Adkins, Lizzie Adkins, and Ada McKee ; and one brother, June Caskey. Survivors include five daughters, Linda and paul Laws, Faye and Gary Howell, Joyce and Ronnie Cantrell, all of West Liberty, Sue and William Michael of Winchester, and Rev and Tony Ball of Elkfork ; one son, David and Angie Elliott of Elkfork ; a sister, Betty Long of Lebanon, Ohio ; one brother, Charlie caskey of Fairborn, Ohio ; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Straight Creek Enterprise Baptist Church with Bro. Darris Hammons and Rev. Herbert Wright officiating. Burial followed in the Adkins Cemetery at Elkfork with Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were sons-in-law.

EVANS, GREGORY

Gregory Evans, 48, of Liberty Road, West Liberty, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 , Hwy. 519, West Liberty. He was born June 28, 1957 in Morgan County, Kentucky, a son of Lena Vance Evans of West Liberty and the late Jim Evans. Greg was an employee of West Liberty Water Plant. Survivors in addition to his mother include one daughter, Ginna Marie Evans ; one sons, David Wayne Evans ; a sister, Sandra Keeton ; two grandchildren, Brooklyn Lasha Evans and Jonathan David Evans ; and one niece, Heather Keeton, all of West Liberty. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3 at herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Chapel with Elder Jackie Smith and Bro. Lundie Wright officiating. Burial followed in Walnut Grove cemetery, Hwy. 191, West Liberty, with Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Kevin Cantrell, Dave Collins, Ray Adkins, Rodney Sweny, Joshua James, and Michael Sharp.
