John Patrick Sculley

BEREA - John Patrick Sculley, 88, died Sat., Oct. 16, 2004, at the Berea Hospital. He was a native of Pittsburg, CA, retired plant controller for Dresser Industries and an Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII. He is survived by a daughter, Joan Sculley (James) Williams of Rock Hill, SC; a son, James (Lisa) Sculley of Berea; sisters, Catherine Wirtz and Agnes Sculley of Muskegon, MI; Brother, George (Cleo) Sculley of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Jessica Williams of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy Williams of Charleston, SC, Julianna Williams of Columbia, SC and John Patrick Sculley of Berea. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Agnes Sculley; his wife, Gertrude Bolema Sculley; brothers, Joseph and James Sculley and a sister, Mary Farr. Services will be 11 am Mon. at St. Clare Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 pm Mon. at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.

John Scully
Berea

John Patrick Scully, 88, of Berea, died Saturday in Berea Hospital.

He was a native of Pittsburg, Calif., a retired plant controller for Dresser Industries and an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II. He had served on the Berea City Council, was past president of the American Cancer Society, former treasurer and board member of the Berea Country Club, former member of the Berea Rotary Club and Cleveland Frost Post of the American Legion. He was a member of the National Accountants Association and a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Bolema Scully; his parents, James and Agnes Scully; a sister Mary Farr; and two brothers, Joseph and James Scully.

Mr. Scully is survived by his daughter, Joan Scully (James) Williams of Rock Hill, S.C.; a son, James (Lisa) Scully of Berea; a brother, George (Cleo) Sculley of Muskegon, Mich.; and two sisters, Catherine Wirtz and Agnes Scully of Muskegon, Mich. Four grandchildren, Jessica Williams of Charlotte, N.C., Jeremy Williams of Charleston, S.C., Julianna Williams of Columbia, S.C., and John Patrick Scully of Berea also survive.


Funeral services for Mr. Scully were today at St. Clare Catholic Church. Burial will be in Berea Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
