Jean Mills Pearson, 83 of College Hill Road, Waco, passed away Thursday December 4, 2003. She retired after teaching for 28 years in the Madison County School System and was a former Madison County Deputy Sheriff. She was a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church, past President of the College Hill Cemetery Association, and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. She was a native of Bell County and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.. Sawyer (Fannie Marsee) Mills. Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her husband Van Benton Pearson, a brother Dr. Shirley Mills, and a sister Faye Wells. She is survived by

Pallbearers will be Danny Wells, Randy Wells, Audney Hall, Jeffrey Leet, Robert Cruse, Mike Mills. Honorary Pallbearers will be James McIntosh, Robert Azbill, Dillard F. Hill, Mose B. Hill, George S. Hill, Nancy Gerrein, William Alexander, Cordelia Hamm, Arnold Hill and Rosanna Wilson.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jean Pearson will be conducted Sunday December 7, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Turpin Funeral Home with Reverend John Savage officiating. Burial will follow in the College Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00, Saturday December 6, 2003 at the funeral home.
