Andrew Lewis Parks, 79, of Irvine, formally of Richmond passed away Saturday May 29, 2004 at the Patti A. Clay Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. (Lucy Jones) Parks. He was a Veteran of the United States ARMY receiving a Purple Heart Award and was retired from Westinghouse. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church where he served as former treasurer for over 25 years. He is preceded in death by one brother Mariel F. Parks.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

 

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 2 , 2004, 1:00 at the Providence Baptist Church in Winston, Kentucky with Reverend Hogue Hockensmith and Reverend Bill VanWinkle officiating.. Burial will follow in the Turpin Cemetery with full military detail. Visitation will be conducted from 4:00PM to8:00 PM, Tuesday June 1, 2004at the Turpin Funeral Home, and from noon until time of services at the church on Wednesday.
