George McKinney King husband of Cora Bryant King, age 91 of Pinnacle Street in Berea, passed away on July 3rd, 2004 at his home after a brief illness.

Mr. King was the son of the late Henry and Margaret Rhodus King. He retired from Westinghouse, was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Wallace Methodist Chapel.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one sister Katie Eldridge of Lexington; three children Nancy Tucker, Larry King and Glyndon (Clara) King all of Berea; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

George was also preceded in death by five brothers Edgar, John, Jess, Everett and Harvey King and three sisters Elizabeth Caldwell, Grace Findley and Sallie King.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday July 5, 2004 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Jordan Lipps, Patrick Lipps, John Tucker, Andrew King, Chris Lipps and Henry King.
