Michael L. Hobbs age 39 of Berea, passed away Sunday August 1, 2004 in Richmond, Ky.

 

Michael is survived by his wife Germane Scrivner Hobbs of Berea, his mother Ponjetta Hobbs of Berea, four sisters Stephanie (Mike) Parker of Berea, Vicky (Johnny) Turner of Lexington, Rhonda (Vincent) Browning of Berea, and Shannon (David) Eversole of Garrard Co., his grandmother Nora Wade Lamb, a sister in law Jennifer Scrivner Wilburn of Berea, mother and father in law Robert and Gertrude Scrivner of Richmond, nieces and nephews Dustin Parker, Kyle Hamm, Clay Wilburn, Jesse Parker, Tabitha Eversole, Joshua Eversole, Jacob Turner, Brooklyn Browning.

 

Michael was preceded in death by his father Cleo Hobbs, sister Sherry Whittemore, and his grandparents Gilbert Lamb, Vernon and Dema Hobbs.

 

Michael was of a kind heart and always willing to help other people. He was the president and founding member of the Bad Moon Motorcycle Club in Richmond, Ky. As a member of the club he was always helping groups and charities. Michael worked for several years for North Carolina State University as an extension agent located in Ashville, NC. He loved working with the children in FFA as well as other programs. Michael was currently part owner of Berea Tool and Cutter Grinding Inc.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea. Burial will follow in the Hobbs Family Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00pm on Tuesday August 3, 2004 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dan Rawlings, Randy McIntosh, James Robinson, Larry Collins, Steve Sutton, Steve Walters, Wade Stevens, and Keith Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers are the Bad Moon Motorcycle Club, Tony Hill, Edward Jones, and Donnie Isaacs, Kenny Whittemore, Stuart Flynn, Sean Fish, Kenneth Harrison, Elwood Gadd, David Breazele, Steve Jenkins, and Tom Chapman.
