FROST, Earl D.

Earl D. Frost, age 79, of Hamilton passed away Friday, February 13, 2004, at 8:25 a.m. at the Fort Hamilton Hospital Emergency Room. He was born in Bybee, Madison County, Kentucky on July 12, 1924, a son of Gilford D. and Sally A. (Todd) Frost. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School, Class of 1942. He entered the US Army May 15, 1943 and served in the 102nd Infantry, 327th Medical Battalion as a medic in Europe during World War II, being discharged February 24, 1946. He was employed for nearly forty years at Beckett Paper Company retiring as Assistant Superintendant of the Finishing Department in 1986. On July 12, 1974 Earl married Janet Reister in Hamilton. He was a member of the Lindenwald Kiwanis Club where he served as past secretary, Monkey Mutual Aid Society, VFW, Fairfield, American Legion, Hamilton and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife Janet, two children, Michael Reister and wife Christina of Crete, Greece; Tari Rucker and husband William of Hamilton, granddaughter Maria; two sisters, Mary Ann Saylor and husband Harold, Fairfield Township; and Norma Hand and husband Jack of Hamilton and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Elizabeth Campbell.
Private funeral services will be held Monday at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd. Internment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.
