Mae Frederick-Tiemeyer

Mae C. Frederick-Tiemeyer, age 89, of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Hamilton, Ohio, died Friday January 2, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on October 18, 1914, in Madison County, Kentucky, the daughter of Jesse and Lula Evelyn (West) Ross. She was educated in the Kentucky public school. She was the owner and operator of several grocery stores in the Hamilton area including the Handy Pantry, Hanover Street Grocery and 12th Street Grocery. She was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Archie Frederick and William Tiemeyer; her daughters, Joyce Ann Curtis and Doris Jane Frederick. She is survived by a granddaughter, Kimberly (Curtis) Woods and her husband Barry of Charleston, South Carolina; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Ashley Peterka; son-in-law, Wayne Curtis and his wife Jean Curtis of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two brothers, Barney Ross of St. Augustine, Florida and Russell Ross of Tampa, Florida; four sisters, Alice Richardson of Hamilton, Georgia Cornelison of Richmond, Kentucky, Jo Chapman of Walton, Kentucky and Evelyn Thomason of Swanee, Georgia. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 3950 Pleasant Avenue, Hamilton, with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be sent to Fairfield Church of Christ.
