Anderkin, Geneva

Geneva “Genny” Day Anderkin, 76, former owner of Genny’s Styling Salon and wife of Edward Burgess Anderkin, died Monday, February 23, 2004. Born in Richmond, KY, she was a daughter of the late William and Clara Hale Day. A former employee of General Electric, she was a member of the Humana Seniors Club and the Lexington Senior Citizen’s Center. In addition to her husband, a brother and two sisters, Delbert Day, Richmond, Ann Montgomery and Ruby Anderkin, both of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews, survive her. Services will be 1:30 PM Thursday at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland. Burial will follow at the Flatwoods Cemetery, Waco, KY. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday.
