Goble Brown
Mr. Goble Brown. Age 71, of Scalf, Kentucky the son of the late Charlie and Cleo Mills Brown was born in Knox County on March 4, 1936 and departed this life in the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky on Friday January11, 2008. Goble believed in the Holiness Faith, was a retired Bus Driver for the Knox County Board of Education and a Logger, He enjoyed Farm work and taking care of his Cattle.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, His Twin Brother, Victor, and four other brothers, William, Hank, Owen and Herman Brown, two Sisters, Loretta Benttin and Dora Price. Survivors include his wife, Edith Brown, of Scalf, Kentucky; one son, Mr. Jeff Brown and wife, Melissa, of Scalf, Kentucky;Three sisters, Francis Jean Brown, of Scalf, Kentucky; Pauline Brown, Scalf, Kentucky and Mary Brown and Husband, Glenn, Scalf, Kentucky; two brothers, Mr. Ed Brown and wife Lilly, Scalf, Kentucky and Mr. Bearl Brown and wife Hersie, Scalf, Kentucky; one step son, Brandon Messer, Scalf, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Blake Brown; Brook and husband Earl Dean Crawford Jr.; and one great grandchild, Emmanuel Isiah Rickie Crawford. Goble also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday January 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m with Rev. Bill Collins officiating, Interment will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Earl Dean Crawford, Randall Mills, John Price, Charlie Price, Cecil Price and Earnest Brown, Honorary Pallbearers will be Allen (Banny) Hampton and Cecil Wilson,who was also a most beloved and precious friend. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangments.
