Lola Mae Brooks, 70, Redbird Road, Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center, Corbin.

She was saved on September 5, 1948 and served the Lord for 53 years and was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, Carl Jess Brooks and wife, Edna of Burlington, Jimmy Brooks and wife, Elizabeth of Florence, and Johnny Brooks and wife, Melissa of Springfield, Missouri; four daughters, Eudell Sowder and husband, Charles of Jellico, Tennessee, Penny Stamper and husband, Kenneth of Williamsburg, Charlene Fuller and husband, Tom of Ridgecrest, California, and Pauline Riggins and husband, Richard of Hendersonville, Tennessee; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; father, Albert A.B. Davis of Corbin; three sisters, Mickey Smith and husband, Roy of Cincinnati, Mary Jo Auterson and husband, Dewell of Corbin, and Lillian Lawson and husband, Albert of Corbin; and one brother, Nelson Davis of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jess G. Brooks; her mother, Flora Davis; a sister, Bonnie Catherine Davis; and a son-in-law, Chuck Seymore.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 20 at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dorman Patrick and Rev. Gerald Parks officiating. Burial was in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
