Ester 'Doodle' Ballew Ester "Doodle" Ballew, 79, of Artemus, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 in Knox County Hospital. He was a son of the late Dan Ballew and Fannie Hamblin Ballew. He was of the Baptist Faith and a coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Prichard Ballew; two daughters, Barbara Henson and husband Clester, Margie Ballew; two sons, Bobby Ballew and wife Dinah and Freddie Ballew and wife Faye; one brother, Daniel Ballew and wife Dessie; one sister, Maxine Strange and husband Ivan; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Services were conducted in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 with the Revs. Bill Gay and Ronnie Rose officiating. Burial was in Wells Cemetery in Whitley County. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
