Maggie Mae Wright, 93, Corbin, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2003 at the Christian Health Center.

She was a retired cook for the Corbin City Schools and member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, James Ray Wright and wife, Ileen; sister, Loma Jean House; five grandchildren, Gerri Regan, Joyce Caygill, Deborah Wright, James Wright II, and David Wright; six great-grandchildren; special friend, Exona Martin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Wright Sr.; parents, James and Katie Alloway Ray; her son, John Earl Wright Jr.; and siblings, George Ray, Elmer Ray, Gladys Ray Nubson, Damon Ray and Otis Ray.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Maggie Mae Wright, 93, of Corbin, passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003 at the Christian Health Center.

She was a retired cook for the Corbin City Schools and was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Wright, Sr.; her parents, James and Katie Alloway Ray; her son, John Earl Wright, jr.; and her siblings, George Ray, Elmer Ray, Gladys Ray Nubson, Damon Ray and Otis Ray. She is survived by her son, James Ray Wright and wife Ileen; one sister, Loma Jean House; five grandchildren, Gerri Regan, Joyce Caygill, Deborah Wright, James Wright II and David Wright; six great-grandchildren; a special friend, Exona Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
