Mrs. Mary Francis Woolum, 82, of Barbourville, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Ann Walker Brown, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003 at Knox County Hospit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Carl Woolum. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by seven daughters, Maggie Hensley and husband Dan of Boone Height, Peggy Stewart and husband Beve of Girdler, Jackie Hampton of Barbourville, Rose Collins and husband Clyde of Tennessee, Ina Brown and husband Harold of Boone Height, Charlotte Smith and husband Finley of Stinking Creek and Glenda Sue Woolum of Barbourville; eight sons, Charlie Andrew Woolum of Frankfort, Wayne Woolum of California, Allen Woolum and wife Thelma of Richmond, Teddy Woolum and wife Lovella of Hinkle, Don Woolum and wife Ann of Indiana, Dale Woolum of Louisville, Michael Woolum and wife Teresa of Barbourville and Henry Woolum of Barbourville; fifty-one grandchildren, several great, grandchldren and great, great grandchildren.

Services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Liford and the the Rev. Columbus Hensley officiating. Burial was in Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
