Belle Tedders
(April 17, 1911 - January 24, 2008)

Belle Tedders, Age 96, of Hamilton, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 9:45 P.M. at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1911 in Knox County Kentucky, the daughter of James and Sallie (Bailey) Gibbons.

On June 2, 1931 she married Walter Tedders in Barbourville, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1946.

She was a cashier at the Main Super Market retiring in 1971. She also cooked for the West Side Baptist Day Care Center.

She was a member of the West Side Baptist Church. Belle was widowed at an early age and raised her three children by herself. She loved to work in her yard, cook, sew, and do things for her family.

She is survived by two daughters; Norma Mayhew of Wilmington, Ohio and Lou Ann Bevilacqua and husband Charles of Hamilton; a daughter-in-law, Hideko Tedders of San Diego, California; six grandchildren, Dan (Susan) Ruecking, Tim (Amy) Ruecking all of Hamilton, Lynn Tedders, Shirley Dumm, Patty Doan, Vickie Reynold; nine great grandchildren, four who were especially close to her, Mallory, Molly, Ashley, and Andrew Ruecking and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Carl Tedders; a son-in-law, William E. Mayhew; three brothers, Walter, Charles, Michael Edward Cross.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd. Hamilton Ohio, with Rev. Rick Rhodus officiating. There will be a graveside service in the Barbourville Cemetery, Monday 1:00 P.M. With Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. until time of the service.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the West Side Baptist Day Care Center, 154 Gordon Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Firends will be recieved at the Barbourville Cemetery prior to the graveside service Monday at 1:00 P.M. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangments.
