Flora Mae Rains, 90, Balltown Road, Williamsburg, passed away Sunday morning, August 11, 2002 at her home.

She was a member of the Siler Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Creekmore of Balltown Road, Williamsburg, Ruth Shelton and husband, Floyd of Hwy. 904, Williamsburg, Thelma Monhollen and husband, Archie of Nevisdale, Norma Faulkner of Balltown Road, Williamsburg, and Amy Barnhill and husband, Oren of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren, Rick and Deonna Shelton, Larry and Carla Shelton, Floyd Jr. and Teresa Shelton, Jimmy and Penny Smallwood, Tommy and Donna Meadors, Randy and Angie Smallwood, Jim and Debbie Fair, Tony and Melody Tye and Herstle and Kitrina Barnhill Hicks; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin W. "Pud" Rains.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome McCullah and Rev. Sam Walden officiating. Burial will follow in the Siler Cemetery at Verne.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Great-grandsons will be the honorary pallbearers.
