Mr. James Doyle ÒDudeÓ Powell, 36, of Bimble passed away Friday morning, September 26, 2008 at his home. He was the son of Doyle B. Hamilton and Bobbie Powell born on January 2, 1972 in Barbourville.

He believed in the Baptist faith and enjoyed tinkering with cars, trucks and hunting. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, the Knox County SORT and a former member of the Artemus and Richland Volunteer Fire Departments.

Survivors include his parents, Doyle B. Hamilton and Bobbie Powell of Bimble; three sisters, Mickey Warren and husband, Ralph, of Bimble, Donnita Riley and husband, Harold, of Hinkle and Kathy Pearson and husband, Dwight, of Lexington; two brothers, Michael Jeffery Powell of Bimble and Jimmy Hamilton and wife, Darlene, of Korea; several nieces and nephews including Daniel, Sydena, Ashley, Jennifer, Joshua, Tonya and Jessica; great nieces and nephews, Emma, Dakota, Reagan, Dawson and Jayleane; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, September 30 at 2 P.M. Mr. Powell will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be members of the Knox County SORT. Honorary bearers will be Michael Jeffery Powell, Michael Wagers, Ralph Warren, Joshua Riley, Harold Riley and Daniel Warren.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
