Erma J.Ore, 74, of Gray, Ky., passed away on Monday, June 18, 2007 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Broughton and Sallie Mills Broughton, born to them on Oct. 31, 1932 in Hammond, Ky. Erma was a homemaker and a member of the Living word Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. On May 7, 1957, she united in marriage with Julius Ore. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lonzo Broughton and Oliver Broughton. Erma is survived by her husband, Julius E. Ore, of Gray, Ky.; Three brothers, Roscoe Broughton and wife Fern of Georgetown, Ky. Glen Broughton of Bailey Switch, Ky. Tip Broughton and wife Jane of Sterling Heights, Mich.; Five sisters, Oda Grubb of Barbourvile, Ky. Ada Hammons of Goshen, Ohio. Elizabeth Trent and husband Glenn of Gray, Ky. Elizabeth and Glenn were very special to Erma and Julius during the time of Erma's illness. Bobby Messer and husband Wendell of Frazier, Mich. Louise Dingess of West Chester, Ohio. A special niece, Heather Dewitt, who was like a granddaughter to Erma. A special and dear friend, Helen Sullivan of Gray, Ky., who loved to talk to Erma. She also leaves behind many other beloved friends and family. Funeral services for Erma Ore were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. Interment was Friday, June 22, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Oho with her loving nephews and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Tri-County Hospice and Dr. Cooney. Arrangements were under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home.
