Martha Jane Mills, 91, Barbourville, wife of the late Reese Mills, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at her residence. Funeral Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Friday July 27, burial Barbourville Cemetery.

Martha Jane Mills, age 91 of Barbourville, passed away on Wednesday July 25, 2007 at her Residence. Martha was the daughter of the late Eugene Mills and Sarah Kathrine Mills. She was born on November 22, 1915 in Knox County Kentucky. She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Mills and her good friend Venna Lou Tuggle worked together many years at College Corner, and for the late Floyd Sowders, at Sowders Men's Store. Martha was united in marriage to Reese Mills. Reese preceded her in death on January 25, 1954. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Albert Mills, a brother, Grant Mills, and a Sister, Maudie Mills.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Florine Gray and husband E.J of Bimble, Kentucky. Tennie Callihan and husband Bill of Corbin, Kentucky. Wanda Daniels and husband Lester of East Bernstadt, Kentucky. Her brother, Robert Mills and wife Mary of Wellsville, Ohio. One sister, Hannah Yeager. She also leaves behind Nine Grandchildren, and Twelve Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services for Martha Mills will be in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Friday July 27, 2007 at 11:00am with Rev. Cleo Goodlett officiating. Interment will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with her Grandchildren serving as pallbearers. The Mills family will receive friends at Hopper Funeral Home on Thursday after 6:30pm until 9:00pm, and on Friday after 9:00am until the funeral hour at 11:00am. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home.
