TALMAGE E. LIFORD, 75, Williamsburg, passed away Monday, May 20, 2002 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

He was a member of the Star Baptist Church, retired CSX Railroad employee and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Freda Liford of Williamsburg; two daughters, Linda Liford of Williamsburg and Caroline Hickey and husband, Barry of London; his step-mother, Dicy Liford of Erlanger; three sisters, Flora Liford and Pauline Liford Roaden and husband, Herschel, all of Corbin and Opal Jones of Erlanger; sister-in-law, Gertie Liford of Williamsburg; two uncles, Lonnie White and wife, Dorothy of New Port Richey, Florida and Hobert White of Williamsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Liford Sr. and Rachel White Liford and three brothers, Melburn, Gene and Monroe Liford, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the Jones & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bennie Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the Ryans Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
