Jimmy Allen Jenkins

Mr. Jimmy Allen Jenkins, 60, of Gray, a son of Effie Darnell Jenkins and the late Conley Jenkins, passed away at his residence Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was a truck driver for Holly Farms Corporation and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Swafford Jenkins of Gray; his children, Sheila Miller of North Wilkesboro, N.C., Tina amd Mita Boger, both of Yadenkenville, N.C., Holly Jenkins of Gray, Jimmy Allen Jenkins Jr. and Shawn Jenkins, both of Yadenkenville, N.C.; one stepson, Casey Swafford of Gray; several grandchildren; his mother, Effie Darnell Jenkins of North Wilkesboro, N.C.; his sisters, Mary Ann Wyatt of Purlear, N.C., Mildred Jenkins of Hiddenite, N.C. and Nancy Rodriquez of North Wilkesboro, N.C.; his brothers, Roger Dale Jenkins and Joseph Randy Jenkins, both of Taylorsville, N.C.

Services were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 with the Rev. Denvil Taylor and the Rev. Roy Wyatt officiating. Burial was in the Jenkins Family Cemetery at Gray. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
