Edward Jackson Jr.
(September 12, 1948 - December 6, 2007)

U.S. Veteran Mr. Edward Jackson Jr. age 59, of Flat Lick, the son of Vernon and Shirley Scalf Jackson. He was born on September 12, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Jackson died Thursday December 6, 2007 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church in Bell County, Kentucky. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his beloved parents; Vernon and Shirley Scalf Jackson of Flat Lick; Several dear Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral services for Edward Jackson Jr. will be conducted Monday, December 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Earl Hammons officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with Clyde Jackson, Charles Merida, Ronnie Baker, Kenneth "Chuck" Johnson, Clint Hinkle and Dustin Patterson serving as pallbearers. The Jackson family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Monday until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements will be under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home.
