Herbert M. HUBBS Herbert M. Hubbs, 77, of Corbin, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006 in the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was a son of the late Rev. Jeff Hubbs and Ora Warfield Hubbs. He was a retired steel worker and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Geraldine Casteel Hubbs, preceded him in death. He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Sue Sharkey and husband James; one sister, Faye Slusher; two grandchildren, Kimberly Sharkey and Pamela Sharkey; and Jimmy Sharkey. Services were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Saturday with the Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating. Burial was in the Warfield Cemetery, Walker Park Road, Barbourville. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
