Velma HINKLE
Mrs. Velma Hinkle, 71, of Barbourville, Ky. departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 in the Knox Co. Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1935 in Knox Co., KY., the daughter of Albert and Beatrice McDonald. Mrs. Hinkle was a member of the Artemus Christian Church and has been a cook at the Knox Co. Hospital for a number of years. She and her husband had also operated a restaurant at one time. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Beatrice McDonald, her husband Preston Hinkle, a daughter Roseanne Yeager, and a brother, Robert McDonald. Survivors include: One daughter: Judy Hinkle Metcalf of Kettering, Ohio; One brother: Dennis McDonald of Barbourville; Two Grandchildren: Preston James Hinkle of Barbourville and Amy Hinkle France of Girdler; Three great grandchildren: Bethany Brianna France, Hannah Kay France and Roseanna Michelle France Mrs. Hinkle also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Hinkle were conducted on Saturday-Dec. 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Martin officiating. Pallbearers were Donnie Yeager, Albert France, Mike Moore, Wendell Williams and Bill Williams. Burial followed in the Leddington-Hinkle Cemetery at Henson Hollow. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. To the family of Mrs. Hinkle, the staff of the Hampton Funeral Home would like to offer you our heartfelt sympathy during your time of bereavement.
