Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett Evans, 87, of Barbourville, the daughter of the late Ben and Sudie Anderson Bennett, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003 in Barbourville Nursing Home.

She was a homemaker and member of the First Pentecostal Church in Barbourville. During World War II, she was a riveter at Hudson Motor Car Company, which manufactured aircraft.

Her husband Amos Evans preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brother, William E. Bennett and wife Jeanette of Goldens Creek; two grandsons and two great grandchildren.

Services were conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, Jan. 12. with the Rev. Ronnie Ball and the Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating. Burial was in Evans Cemetery at Kingtown.

Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home.
