MARK CANADY, age 33, of 4909 Rockford Ct., Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Barbourville, the son of Sandra and Ray Canady, was born in Knox County on March 2, 1968 and departed this life in the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington on Saturday June 9, 2001.

Mark was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barbourville, and a Representative for Aventis Pharmaceutical Company.

His maternal grandparents are Covy and Florence Lumpkins; his parental grandparents are J.L. Canady Sr. and Flossie; two aunts; and three uncles preceded Mark in death.

Survivors include, one son, Chase Mark Canady, Lexington; his parents, Ray and Sandra Canady, Barbourville; his fiance, Laura G, Hamlin and her daughter, Lauren Jade Hamlin, Lexington; three brothers, Jeff Canady and Michelle Davis of Gray, Eric Canady and wife, Melodie of Harlan, and Brent Canady & Brooke Sinclair of Lexington; one niece and three nephews; three aunts; three uncles; and several very special cousins. Services for Mark were conducted in the Chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday June 12, 2001 at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. David Miller and the Rev. George Strunk officiating. Interment was in the Barbourville Cemetery with Hampton Funeral Home in charge. For those who wish, a contribution may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 312 North Main St, Barbourville, Kentucky.

Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
