Land Grant between Jonathan Henderson and Daniel Stewart recorded in Deed Book C Page 475 in Knox Co KY by James F Ballinger, Clerk

This indenture made this 31st day of December 1825 by and between Jonathan Henderson of the County of Knox of the one part, and Daniel Stewart of Clay of the other. Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him the said Henderson in his hand, the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged. I, the said Jonathan Henderson, hath this day granted bargained and sold to the said Daniel Stewart all that tract of land, whereon I now live. Containing two hundred and twenty acres lying and being on Goose Creek, it being a part of the 36,000 acres Surveyed and Patented for John Lewis, and bounded as follows to wit, Beginning on a ?, standing on the North side of Goose Creek, running thence S & ? W 54 poles to a Sugar tree, thence N 77 E 72 poles to a beech, thence S? 80 E 26 poles to three ?, thence N ?4 E 20 poles to a Sugar tree, thence N 60 E 21 poles to a Sugar tree, thence N 18 W 50 poles to a Walnut, standing on the South side of the ? branch, thence N 45 E ?6 poles to a White Oak, thence 46 W 80 poles to a beech, thence S 45 W 3?6 poles to a Stake, thence S 28 W 90 poles to the Beginning: to have and to hold the said, 220 acres of land unto him the said Daniel Stewart his heirs and assigns forever. I the said Jonathan Henderson doth warrant and forever defend the above described tract of land from all and every person lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof. In Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal in presence of this day and date first above written.

I do certify that on the 10th day of July 1826, the above named Jonathan Henderson acknowledged before me, the foregoing Indenture of bargain and sold to Daniel Stewart to be his act and deed-and the said deed is truly recorded in my office-Given under my hand this 2nd day of August 1826.
