My father, Edward Greenberry Bennett was in the Navy at Adak, Alaska when Japan surrendered in 1945. He and thousands more were there for the invasion of Japan. His job was putting troops ashore. His other job was a baker. These are the people he worked with and it looks like they were having a party. His name is Edward Greenberry Bennett, front row, 2nd from left.
