We the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ at Pigeon Roost met in regular session after  singing and prayer. The church called Brother Fred CHAVES as their Pastor for the next  year and Brother Finley F. HUBBARD as church clerk for the next year. The Pastor  preached a sermon from Exodus 23 chapter 30, then the church were dismissed until 10  O'clock Sunday. then on Sunday the Pastor, Brother Fred CHAVES, delivered a message and the church went to the water and the Pastor attended to the ordinance of baptism and 
was dismissed until the 3rd Saturday and Sunday in November.

Sermon preached by the Pastor, church called to seats for business church found in peace one with another. The church set aside brother John SMALLWOOD, Ceaphus Slusher, and Issac Jones to be ordained for deacons on the new mountain time, the church has fault. Closed revival meeting in which 22 were converted and baptized. This all was done by order of the church.

Then the church took the communion together, this being the first communion that this church had ever taken. The church was dismissed until the 3rd Saturday and Sunday in July.

A collection of $3.00 was taken up. $2.50 was sent to the orphanage home and $1.00 was given to the association for printing the minutes. Pastor preached on the subject of a missionary church, this was done by a order of the church. The church was dismissed until the 3rd Saturday in October.

We the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ at Pigeon Roost met in regular session. After singing and prayer, Pastor preached from Hebrews 12 verse 1. The church was called to seats for business, no business was done. The church was dismissed until 3rd Saturday and Sunday in September. In the treasure $2.49 cents, we had a revival September 1, 1938. Revival lasted for one week, no addition to the church but a wonderful unity for the church and paid our preacher $9.05 for the services.

In 
the treasure was $1.49. Pastor received $1.00.

Also allegations brought against Edd SIZEMORE, Louisa SIZEMORE, Oda PATTERSON, Matthew Slusher, Jane Slusher, Eliza J. Slusher, Cleara 
Slusher, and William SIZEMORE. The church was then dismissed until 3rd Saturday and Sunday in September.

The church was called to seats for business and the church restored back Edd SIZEMORE, Oda PATTERSON, Cleara Slusher, Lizia J Slusher, and Matthew Slusher to the church. Jane Slusher, William SIZEMORE, and Louisa SIZEMORE is still waiting for action of the church. Then the Church granted a letter to the association an sent delegates Brother Isaac Jones and Brother Edd SIZEMORE and Brother Sherman Mills and Brother Finley HUBBARD and Judge Jackson. Then the church was d1smissed until 3rd Saturday and Sunday 
in October. Pastor received $1.25 and sent $1.00 to the association for minutes.

The church was called to seats for business, Jane Slusher was restored back to the church in fellowship and Louisa SIZEMORE was excluded from the church because of parting of faith. Finley HUBBARD called for his letter and the church granted the letter and the Pastor carried it over until the next meeting on account of a misunderstanding between Finley HUBBARD and the Pastor. Also the Church extended an arm from the Pigeon Roost Church of 3 deacons. John SMALLWOOD, Ceaphus Slusher, and Issac Jones. M. J. PATTERSON 
, Church Clerk, Lucy Honeycutt, Cleara Slusher, Janette Slusher, and Finley HUBBARD to help establish a church on the head of Goose Creek. Pastor received $1.69.

The church was called to seats for business. The church appointed the Pastor to sign a claim with the Board of Education for the rent on the church building for this year and have the check made to him and bring the money back when he came. He had turned the $100.00 over to the church clerk and I (Linda SMITH) have the money at this time. The church paid out $40.00 to Frank PATTERSON and Frank Petty for work on foundation of building. 
Leaving in the treasure the sum of $135.00.

After the singing and prayer, Pastor preached from the 24h chapter of Matthew then the church was called to order and the clerk read the minutes of our last meeting and the church approved it. The church gave the Pastor and the clerk the right to buy the roofing for the church at the Jellico Grocery Company at Barboursville, Kentucky. The church took a free will offering the amount was $2.11, making a total amount in treasure of $127.11. The roofing was bought at a cost of $137.34 the whole sale gave us $2.34 and we paid $127.00 leaving a debt of $8.00. The church has in the treasure at this time $.11 cents.
