JOSEPH CHRISTIAN

I, Joseph Christian, of the County of Knott and State of Ky. of the age of 57 yrs. and being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make, publish, and declare this my last will and testament in manner following. That is to say - First, I direct my Executors hereinafter named to pay out of my estate as soon as possible after my decease all my just debts together with the expenses of my last sickness and my funeral and testamentary expenses. Second, I give and bequeath to my wife one mule about 12 yrs. old 15 hands high of a bright bay color, four sheep, a white cow about six yrs. old, nine head of hogs about 2 yrs. old, one Roan heifer 3 yrs. old, and all the household and kitchen furniture. Estimated at the sum of Two hundred $200 dollars to be received by her in full of all claims out of my estate. Third, I give and devise unto my son Thomas Adams one black and white pied steer about 12 or 13 yrs. old, one Red heifer about 2 yrs. old, one spotted sow about 2 yrs. old and her five pigs. Fourth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Alice Williams one Red roan heifer about one year old worth about six dollars $6. Fifth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Combs one & one half ($1.50), out of my estate. Six, I give and devise unto my son Simon Christian one & one half dollars ($1.50) out of my estate. Seventh, I give and devise unto my son William Christian one & one half dollars ($1.50) out of my estate. Eighth, I give devise unto my son John Christian one and one half dollars ($1.50) out of my estate. Ninth, I give and devise unto my son Elhanen Christian one and one half dollars ($1.50) out of my estate. Tenth, I hereby appoint G. W. Kelly, Jr. the sole executor of this my last will. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 9th day of May 1904.

I, R. H. Amburgey, Clerk of the Knott County Court, do certify that the foregoing Will of Josep Christian was this day produced in open court and approved by Samuel Francis and Owens two subscribing Witnesses thereto and the same was duly admitted to probate by the Hon. William Roberts, Judge of the County Court of said County. This June 20 day, 1904.
