6 May 1864, Royalton.

Linda (above) are:
1. Polly, b 1821, m Daniel Hayes
2. Elizabeth "Betsy", b 1823, m Robert "Role" Hunter
3. Rachel, b 1825, m Anderson Hayes
4. George B., b 1829, m Frances "Frankie" Patton
5. Stokely, b 1831
6. Winnie, b abt 1840, m Richard Martin
During the period of time Golden Hawk was married to Sallie Anderson
and later to Mary Ann Womack, and having children with them (11 and
9, respectively), he was also having these children with Alethia.
And all this in 3 or 4 different counties! I just am not sure all
these children really belong to Golden
Hawk, and I'm suspicious of most of the children purported to be
Mary Ann's. I think the legend may be larger than life by now.
Speaking of which, perhaps the story you tell may have some
relationship to the stories that have swirled around Golden Hawk and
his exploits and ancestry. What do you think?
