James L. Preston

    Former Johnson County resident James L. Preston, 66, of Kettering, Ohio, died October 20 at the Miami Valley Hospital.

    Mr. Preston was the son of the late R. A. and Laura Nee Waller Preston.  He was a former miner, veteran of the Army, having served in World War II, and was retired from General Motors.

    Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Bill and Charles Preston; and a sister Mary. Surviving are one daughter, Linda Halley of Hillsboro, Ohio; one brother, Fred Preston of Kettering; one sister, Irene Baldridge of Paintsville; and one granddaughter and two great- grandsons.

    Funeral services were held October 24 at Tobias Funeral Home in Ohio, with Rev. James Wolfe officiating. Burial was in Bellbrook Cemetery.
