O W CAIN ELECTED AS SUPT. OF SCHOOLS OF JOHNSON COUNTY

 

Popular Young Teacher Attorney of Paintsville Named Superintend of Schools By the Johnson County Board of Education

 

                O. W. Cain, of Paintsville was named Superintendent of Schools of Johnson County at a recent meeting of the Board of Education of the County.

                Mr. Cain is a former teacher of Johnson and Magoffin Counties and at one was associated with the Paintsville Graded Schools. He also served for some time as City Attorney of Paintsville and for the past three years has been a practicing attorney. He is a graduate of the University o Kentucky and a native of the joining Magoffin County. Mr. Cain will enter into his duties as Superintendent the first of July.

                                Mr. Cain was married last week to Miss Mary Anna Keaton, one of Paintsville's most popular young ladies, and the couple will reside in a home recently constructed by Mr. Cain in Paintsville.

                Mr. Cain is a very popular young man with many friends and is amply qualified to fill the elected position to which he has been elected.

                Hayes Sparks, a teacher at Sip, Ky, was appointed as Supervisor of schools at the same board meeting. Both appointees are Republican and men of irreproachable character.
