SERVICES TUESDAY FOR CPL. JAMES CAUDILL

    Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Winifred for Cpl. James A. Caudill, 23, who was killed in action in Korea, July 7, 1951. Cpl. Caudill is the second Korean casualty to be returned to Johnson County for burial.

    He was born at Winifred December 13, 1927, the son of Mrs. Mima Caudill and the late Ben Caudill. He engaged in farming before entering the service. Surviving besides his mother are two sisters, Miss Eloise Caudill, Winifred, and Mrs. Mary Alice Doane, Sunbury, Ohio, and one brother, Jess Maywood Caudill, Winifred.

    Services were conducted from the home at Winifred by Elders T. J. Bailey and Lonza Reed. Burial was in the family cemetery at Winifred under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
