Raises Baby Kangaroo

     An Auxier boy, Sgt. Carl Thomas Watson, is shown here with a comrade, his dog and his baby kangaroo which he is raising on a bottle in Australia.

     Sgt. Watson is the son of Mrs. Tom Watson, formerly of Auxier, and now a resident of Baltimore, Md., and the late Tom Watson of Auxier. He graduated from Auxier High School in 1940, attending Caney Creek Junior College, and in 1941 took a business course at Mayo. He entered the Signal Corps at Mayo, and was sent to Camp Crowder, Mo., on March 1, 1942. He has been in Australia since June 1943.

     His mother makes her home at Baltimore with her daughter, Geraldine.
