    Clyde Gordon May Age 88, of Van Lear, died Monday, March 2, 1998, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Prestonsburg, following an extended illness.

 Born January 30, 1910 at Block House Bottom in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Lindsey and Clara Harmon May. He was disabled. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors include one daughter, Sabrina Saenz of Andrews, Texas; one stepson, Charles Music of Amemllo, Texas; two brothers, Patrick "Pat" May of Auxier and Bill May of David; and three sisters, Leona Winkler of Toledo, Ohio, Audrey Beverly of Columbus, Ohio, and Ethel Lilly of Van Lear.

    Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4, at 1 p.m., at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, with minister Joe Howard officiating. Burial will be in Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.
