  Arnel S. Harmon


   

Cpl. Arnel S. Harmon the son of Mrs. And Mrs. W. G. Harman of Barnetts Creek, was reported killed in Germany on March 29, 1945

    Cpl. Harman was inducted on December 26, 1942. He was 22 years old, and had been in service 27 months, taking training at Camp Campbell, Ky., Fort Jackson, S.C., and Camp Barkley, Texas. He went overseas September 18, 1944. He was a machine gunner in the Tank Division of the Seventh Army.

    His family can be proud that he is one of those who fought for the honor of our flag. We salute his courage and bravery.

    His death was reported in the Paintsville Herald on May 3, 1945
