GLASS'S MILL FOUR-ARCH BRIDGE

This beautiful limestone bridge, known as the Glass Mill Four-Arch, was part of a 1933-1934 W.P.A. project. Also included in the project were six other bridges, also located on Glass Mill Road in Jessamine County.

Buck West, of Jessamine County, remembers working with his father on the bridge. "We finished the bridge the day Prohibition was repealed, and the crew rode to Nicholasville and had a beer."

This bridge has been nominated for the National Register of Historic Places.
