Stephen Hanes to Thomas Coleman - 1839

This indenture made & entered into the 13th day of March in the year 1839
between John Hanna agent & attorney in fact for Stephen Hanes of County of
Todd & state of Kentucky of the first part and Thomas Coleman & Co of
this city of Louisville & state of Kentucky of this the other part hath
before me that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred eighty six
dollars ($386) in hand paid by the party of the second to the party of the first
part receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted and sold by
these presents doth grant bargain sell & convey unto the said party of the
second part their heirs & assigns forever two certain lots or parcels of
ground situated lying & being in the town of Clinton & state of Kentucky
& knows(?) & designated in the plan of said town by numbers three (3)
& one hundred & five (105) _____ 3 opposite the court house on the north
the other is 105 _____ opposite the dwelling of the late H L Edington, Esq both
of the above lots being the same conveyed by Stephen Ray & his wife on this
16th day of July 1830 with all & singular, the rights & apertures of the
said party of the first part, their heirs and assigns forever against the claim
or claim of all persons whatsoever in testimony whereof this said party of the
first part hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day & yr above mentioned
Stephen Haynes by his agent & attorney John Hanna.
State of Kentucky, Hickman County, J H A (?) Taylor clerk of the county court
for the county aforesaid certify that this deed from Stephen Hanna by his agent
and attorney in fact, John Hanna to Thomas Coleman & Co of the other part
was produced to me in my office on the 4th day of Nov. 1839 & acknowledged
by the said John Hanna agent & attorney in fact to be this act & deed
& request to be recorded whereunto the foregoing deed together with the
certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office given under my hand
this 18th day of Nov 1839.
