E.L. Watson & Mary Ann Watson to H. Jackson - Deed Book I Page 30

This Indenture made and entered into this the first day of March 1852 between E.L. Watson and Mary Ann his wife of the one part and H. Jackson of the other part all of the county of Hickman and State of Kentucky. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. I the said E.L. Watson hath this day bargained sold and conveyed unto the said H Jackson the following tract of land situate in said county “to wit” the South East quarter of section 25 Township 3 & Range 2 West containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less also the East half of the South West quarter of section 25 Township 3 Range 2 West containing 80 acres more or less to have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said H Jackson his heirs & assigns forever free from the claims of all persons except the lifetime dower interest of Elizabeth Moore widow of Thomas K Moore Dec’d. In Testimony whereof the said Watson together with Mary Ann his wife who hereby relinquishes her dower in the land hereby conveyed by this deed and both here unto set their hand and seals the day and date above written.

I, G Wm Rennick Clerk of the Hickman county court in the state of Kentucky do certify that this deed from E.L. Watson and Mary Ann his wife to H Jackson was on the 1st day of March 1852 acknowledged before me in my office by the said E.L. Watson to be his act and deed and on the 10 day of March 1852 the said Mary Ann Watson being examined by me privily and apart from her said husband admitted that she did freely and willingly sign seal and deliver said writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledged the same again shown to her to be her act and deed and consenteth that the same may be recorded, Whereupon said deed together with this certificate hath been duly recorded in my office this 12 day of March 1852.
